For the kids

The playground sits at the heart of the park and covers a generous age range β€” reviewers rate it from toddlers right through to late primary and early secondary. Expect swings, climbing and spinning kit, plus plenty of grass to spill out onto when the frames get busy.

Beyond the play area, the open field is the real draw for older children: room for a proper game of football, kite-flying on a breezy day, or just flat-out running.

Who it's best for

Under 5s

Toddler-friendly swings and smaller kit, sightlines good enough to sit with a coffee while they play.

5–10s

The sweet spot β€” climbing frames, spinning equipment and the big field.

10+

Football on the grass and the outdoor gym kit keep older kids busy.

For the grown-ups

The park has a genuinely useful free outdoor gym β€” proper bodyweight and resistance equipment, not an afterthought. It draws everyone from parents timing reps to playground minutes, to runners finishing a loop, to the local cycling crowd using the space to train.

Dog walkers do laps of the field morning and evening, and the benches make a decent outdoor reading room in summer. It's the kind of place you end up at twice a day without planning to.
